I have an old 2009 Home Storage Manager with some important files on it, but now I have a new Mac that won't accept the disc to install. How can I retrieve my material off of this storage device and put it on my new computer?

You will need to download another application called LenovoEMC. The application is compatible with Mac Os X 10.5 to 10.8. On the page below you will also see that the software has been discontinued for Mac. This means it won't work on newer versions of Mac Os X.
I seem to be unable to connect with my Home Media Network Hard Drive. There is no "Manage" button when I open the program and when I try to connect manually I am asked about a device name or an IP no. Where do I find them?

To find out the IP of the drive, simply access your router (if it's connected to a network) and locate the DHCP clients section. That section will display the name and the IP address. Alternatively, open Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > View computers or devices in a network. Your device should be located on that section.
Official website is down for quite a long time, so the best thing you can do is to check some video tutorials online.
